Welcome to John's jQuery Google Map

This page demonstrates the use of jQuery to format and control a Google map

This map uses wms connectors to access non-google data sources. You can also view the attributes of WMS layers that support the GetFeatureInfo service by using the info tool. This only applies to WMS layers that are turned on.

Mapping Layers

Click on Section Name to Expand List

Here lies legend information for all to see.
  • Click on the checkbox to turn on an overlay layer from the above list.
  • Click on the layer-name to download the layer in KML/KMZ format. If the layer has a WMS suffix then you will see the service description instead.
  • Select the map background from the Google menu in the top right of the map. In addition to the standard Google options, there are local background layers.
  • If you turn off an overlay that coincides with another layer, you may need to toggle the visible layer off/on to redraw.
